This episode I interview Michele Capecchi, an Italian lawyer in Florence, Tuscany, to give you the ultimate guide to buying a property in Italy. Michele gives good advice on buying real estate in Italy. We bought a property in Tuscany (Pontremoli) in 2017 and used Nicholas Metta in Philadelphia as our attorney. While Nick lives in the US (outside of Philadelphia), he is Italian, licensed in Italy and part of a Italian firm. He was able to inspect all of the transaction documents and provide us with both good answers to our questions and assurance that everything was correct. I would easily recommend Nick for American buyers looking for a US-based attorney.
