It’s absolutely a human replacement tool. Any kind of business owner looks for the most cost-sensible solutions for their business. AI is increasingly going to blow human output out of the water in many fields, so replacing us will be a no-brainer. The question then becomes, is society willing to support those individuals who lack the abilities (either technical or based on IQ) to fill the dwindling employment opportunities that remain? Or will those people just be left stranded and income inequality will just be allowed to grow even more extreme?

Like all innovation, it's a boon and a curse. Our implementation and context will dictate how the AI revolution goes.

Ok calm down everyone. Jobs change as new tools become available. Robots did not replace all manual labour. AI will not replace all creative labour.
