This is one of the very few HFY Reddit stories that actually has characters and an interesting and intelligent story line/plot. Well written, It is engaging and kept me interested throughout.
Beats all the stories of cavemen who mysteriously got into space with guns and in-credibly advanced space craft. With beings of no character who just slaughter each other.

Indeed, the third iteration of this story. And I do like this one. I like the narration, and I also like the neutral picture as background to the story. The other channel with the full story (as to date) used pictures I often wondered “Why?? Why those pictures??”.

Some comments mentioned they would prefer a female voice but I disagree. If I listen to the AI generated female voices… To me they are ‘too far off’ to be convincing and I find them distracting.
In the old days, before AI, audio books were mostly read by one person and the few I know were male. And I didn’t mind it at all, I just listened to a man who read me a book aloud.

However, regarding this story,
To date it has 65 chapters in total. It is an enormous story with a lot of potential plot lines, mysteries and injustices to tackle (from Nadine’s pov). I would be very surprised if the author suddenly, in a miraculous way, pulled a finished book out of his sleeve. It took him or her at least two years to this point (on Reddit). And I would not be surprised if it will take another two years to finish. This is not criticism, it is a reality check. I assume that the author has another way to make a living and this is a side project, and in my opinion a good one.
So, people who are in for a quick and satisfying resolve will probably be disappointed… 😏
This dish probably has many more courses and will be eaten with small bites... But that’s fine with me 😀

gonna say a little sus on a 15 year old spewing out those calculations or even thinking of that. Especially when you could have just counted 1. 2. 3. and told them each number was a second and got them to take it from there.
