why dont we want the x component of the magnetic field at that point? why only the y component?

the whole dBy cos(theata) as opposed to sin(theta) was tricky as heck for me to get the hang of, but otherwise a good video as always.

Direction of db should be perpendicular to both dl and r right. But here it does not seems so

Shouldn't dBy be dBz and dBx be dBy. And shouldn't the crossproduct between dl = (dx, 0, 0) and r-hat = (cos phi, sin phi, z0)? Which gives a dB in terms of dBz and dBy.
