I would like to see a video on government income including allowances. The reason being that some leaders in the Caribbean allowances are much more than their salary. Factor rent, entertainment, and more which the country has to pay. This list could change if you factor all the government pays for their leaders including salaries.

I must totally agree with anybody who is disgusted by the number one, president Santhoki. Especially since the economical situation of Suriname is far from flourishing..
Poverty is growing and sustainable growth and balance is not even close.😢😢😢😢😢

See Suriname is doing a IMF program, where price of everything in a raise. So IMF also ordered a social program for those who are in great lack of money to spend. You will not believe that Santhokie also benefits from this social program.

A salary raise is recently presented in our National essembly where his salary will be updated.

Salaries of these leaders are the earned incomes. What is more frightening is their unearned incomes whose source is corruption which is evident in the leadership of these countries . I have no issues with these leaders' salaries but their unearned wealth is enormous and a major contribution to poverty in the Caribbean

I wish Prime Minister Mia Motley were the highest paid political leader in the Caribbean region because she's a superb communicator on the International stage, especially in regard to climate change, and gun control. She talks about global dilemmas confronting us today and possibly solutions in the rehabilitation process. Furthermore, Prime Minister Motley is a world class political leader because whenever she speaks about global issues confronting us in the Most Develop Countries, the world pays attention.

Salaries in the Caribbean are not a reflection of the trust the citizens of a nation have in their leader. It is more a reflection of what they can grab and do for themselves

Great job with this information. I trust that the leaders are listening and becoming conscientious of the ratios between the country's average salaries and theirs. Also, this information reflects the rationale between literacy and political comprehension and the difference between blinded naive political support and genuine loyalty to the polititians who have made positive development to their people and country.

Your reporting has exhibited a level of timely responsibility, transparency and education to masses. Well done. It's fitting to say that in the democracies of our region, the people need to know where they stand in their countries' economy.

You stated the amount the leaders get and how much more than the average salary they get. It would be interesting to know how much more × than the minimum wage they earn in their respective countries 🎉

What else is new? Leaders doing well for themselves, families and sometimes their cronies.
Meanwhile, the average citizen is catching hell, as the saying goes.

No fear, God sees all and like the rest of mankind, these leaders will have to give an account of their lives on that day.

Praying for all.

I think what shows the integrity of leaders is how they treat the poor and invest in their people and try to understand the difficulties of the disadvantaged, making sure that all have fair and just opportunities. I cannot justify the giant chasms between the average person's salaries to their leaders, when some people cannot even get basic services.
