I just buy extra bags of cranberries during the Thanksgiving/Christmas cooking season and throw them in the freezer. Take a quarter cup of those babies and add some dates or prunes or shredded coconut for sweeteners and you got toppings for oatmeal or whatever floats your fancy.

Q: Paying such a close attention to ingrediencies, how about all the chemicals/preservatives? Is it not in fact a decoy for the fact there is something else in there, not so healthy?

Ocean Spray have been selling crap for years, their juice back in the day was 3% cranberry juice. Then people woke up and realized they were using high fructose corn syrup too. I live in SE Massachusetts in cranberry country and the (non organic) industry used herbicides, pesticides, fungicides & pesticides

I love Victoria sauce. Just be aware that they only comes to Costco twice a year - July/August and I think Feb/March. I always stock up because once they are gone, you have to wait 6 months.

I just make my own marinara sauce. It’s so ridiculously easy and I could monitor the sodium— something that Bobby never mentions! And that is so surprising to me with the number of Americans on high blood pressure medication!

The White Linen sauce is Victoria's top sauce. Not all Victoria sauce is labeled White Linen

Bobby, I think you provide great health food information. Good luck with your meniscus surgery. It took me about 2 years to fully recuperate from a slight meniscus tear. Take it easy at the gym after the surgery.

For the kombucha, I wish they would label it like synergy does, where it mentions only 3g of cane sugar for the fermentation, and the rest is from the fruit, but can be lower cause of the living probiotics

Victorias Organic marinara is the best jarred sauce I have ever used, I buy at least a dozen bottles, this is the only time of year you can buy them, and the price is unbeatable.
