4k Short-toed snake eagle hovering & trying to hunt

Of the 68 species of eagles in the world, the short-toed eagle as far as I know is the only such eagle to hover in the air while it locks on to its prey. Whilst a few other birds do it as well, the short-toed eagle somehow manages it without flapping its wings! It primarily eats snakes & we saw this individual dive diagonally from about 700 feet high in the air to hunt down a snake. When we rushed to the spot, the eagle had nearly gobbled down the snake...
