Economics aside, this guy is a great example of someone who continues to use their brain actively into older age and how this knocks on to physical health and longevity. I wish my grandparents were like him in their 80s

Amazing episode. Love the mix of guests you're getting. I could have listened to the conversation all day.

“You are buying 10 apples for the price of 6” is probably one of the best ways to explain the 40% tax relief on pension savings for higher rate tax payers.

If you want a guest who thinks index funds are a terrible idea, get in touch with Sean Peche at Ranmore Fund Management and if he agrees to do the show then you'll be in for an interesting battle

Not sure how government can be efficient at not letting people to retire. By not releasing state pensions up until retirement age? Those who heavily rely on it, working class, who left their health in factories and warehouses and nurses probably the category. Those who are well educated, who achieved a decent income during their career and have private pension and investments some sorts will not be affected by much.

Was climate change mentioned? Humanity will have to adapt to a rapidly changing climate. For example will LA be uninhabitable by then?

Re Goldman"s predictions for the next decade. ALL predictions for 2024 were negative / level at best with a recession thrown in on top. Look what happened. Goldman simply don't know what will happen. Ignore the noise.
