The W211 will never ever be out of style. Such a beautiful car. Makes me want to own a fleet of them. Great video.

You forgot to mention something very important! 03-04 cars use a brass sonax bushing for the torque convertor. 05-06 cars had this part revised and replaced by a needle bearing pushing. This is important for anyone who wants to push the car and launch it. Those brass bushing will go. The updated needle bearing is much stronger and way less likely to fail! Happy hunting

I can be a “snob” when it comes to these informative videos, but yours are hands-down the best. Very detailed and “to the point”.

You and Ben Wayne are my fave. Keep doing what you’re doing bruh.

I have the 2006 E55 AMG premium package but to get the most out of the car you have to upgrade a few things so I upgraded the ECU with a tune from euro charged I also rebuild my stock pulley basically beefed it up a bit for better Performance I did have a 77 mm pulley but noticed I didn’t get the performance I wanted so after talking to a buddy from BenzWorks out of Huntington Beach CA he recommended I upgraded the stock pulley instead of going bigger I’m glad I went that route I also got a euro charged heat exchanger with a updated Bosch 010 pump and now the car drives flawlessly, oh yeah I also took off the top speed limiter this car is a true beast 💪

I own a 01 E430, I love driving this car!!! I find myself staring @ it when I walk away too. I get daily compliments on this 20 year old beast. One of the most timeless machines made

I've owned my 2006 E55 for nearly 4 years now and did not know several of these things. I am maniacal with learning about it! I'm not the AMGMeister though evidently. Great video!

I just purchased an O5 last week without knowing the differences. I think I'm glad I went the route I did! Plus it helped that the P/O was the ideal type of seller you dream of buying a car from!

one thing i just want to add, the "rest" button wasn't necessarily removed for 05, it just became dependent on which version of the climate control that particular car came with. cars that came with "climate control panel design A" (2 or 4 zone) still have the rest button. i think it depends partly on whether or not the car was originally bought in a warm climate. my 2005 spent the first 10 years of its life in florida and has no rest button, but when my dad bought a 2005 E55 it was originally owned by someone near boston and that had the rest button. on page 194 of the 2005 e class manual it goes into more detail.

thanks for this video though, i mainly wanted a 2005-06 because of the 200 mph speedometer and figured it's newer which would allegedly give them more time to work out the kinks. only recently did i learn about the aux port, spare tire, and suspension / steering upgrades. love this car!

My pops was a BMW guy, grandfather was a Mercedes guy... While my e34 was at the shop a customer (also friend)let me drive his car to my house to grab lunch, my pops was getting smokes(he worked from home) and he pulled up and I found him circling it. One of the only modern Mercedes he actually liked... Now that the prices have been dropping I'm considering getting one myself. I've driven 6-7 of em and they're fantastic cars 👌

This video is GREAT. Loved the music and the volume of it, the video footage you had and the attention to detail when you discussed changes. For me the best AMG ever esp when the supercharger is whining.

I've caught the E55 bug BAD and your videos are invaluable in helping would-be owners. Regarding the 03-04 change to the different differential, was this to address a reliability issue with the original diff? Anything to look out for in the rear end of early model E55s?
