The 1969 Dodge Charger is one good reason to love muscle cars and The Dukes of Hazzard made sure we’d never forget it. This General Lee replica with this stiff chassis setup became a favorite of mine after driving it for the day. I hope you enjoy what I put together as much as I enjoyed driving it.

As always, feedback is welcomed. I'm a YouTuber in training, so go
easy on me. Thanks for watching!

In reference to the rims, the owner asked if I wanted the original rims on it for the video and I said no since I was more comfortable with more grip than less. He did mention that the handling was noticeably different since the body hangs over the wheels moreso with the original rims since they're not as wide.

I really liked the style so I didn't think it would matter much being that he had the others on hand but boy was I wrong. I expected some comments about it, sure, but the amount of disrespectful adult babies out there is just astonishing.

Be respectful and if you're gonna have the balls to comment something rude, than at least have a General Lee yourself that's picture perfect, because we all know you trolls are driving Kia Rio's.

Thank you and good day!

The sound. If I had to choose one thing that I love most about old muscle cars, the sound would easily be one of the first things to come to mind. The sound alone always draws a smile to my face when I start up my 67 Cougar. No resonators or catalytic converters to muddle the sound, just pipes, headers, and maybe a muffler. You can't get that kind of raw sound anymore.

My first car was a 69 charger. Bought it for 700 bucks and spent 2 years building it. It was indeed a ledsled that would pass anything except a gas station.

Wow YT suggested this video and i know this car and you filmed it in my neighborhood. I remember when Leslie first got this way back my friends did most of the work on it. Resto mods are the best! Great video

I am a Dukes of Hazzard fan myself. I watched the Dukes of Hazzard for two reasons. #1. When they made The General airborne #2. Catherine Bach as Daisy Duke. My car I wanted to own was a 1969 Dodge Chager General Lee.
Lesie, I am proud of the time you spent working on that General.

The sad part about the show was seeing Daisy"s Mopar going over a cliff.

i love that it's not just driven. it's truly enjoyed. used the way they were when new in 1969. when they were raced light to light. run up and down woodward looking for that next run. too many of them end up as a trailer queen's and never see more than a short run around the neighborhood.

Love it and love the fact that Leslie isn't afraid to drive it. The whole build is fuckin' beautiful. Pretty damn sweet that he let you take it out for a spin too.
