Router Tip and Tricks

Tip: When making a guide to run your router up against, use a round base plate on your router. This way no matter the direction you twist the router, the bit will still always be the same distance away as long as the base plate is touching your guide.

I made a quick router guide to make channels in this table saw extension table to match the ones in my table saw. I used a 3/4 straight bit, took multiple shallow passes, and nudged the guide over a bit to enlarge the channels some. It worked out nicely, but it sure does make a mess.
