They want to privatize the NHS. This is a long term project and politicians have their eyes on that sweet commission - as in any sale.

German ambulance worker here. Yes, there are problems here, too. But nowhere near as bad. And I would quit my job long before it would get this bad. In addition, there is no feeling of disregard from my politicians. Stay strong, British colleagues.

Finally journalism is reflecting the reality we’ve been living in for years. Well done C4.

The Govt say they are spending "Record amounts of funding in the NHS" - it has been noted they have included Test & Trace, crony PPE contracts and storage/destruction costs within these figures...

I can tell you that in Portugal, you certainly do not wait as much as you do here in the UK. The UK has become absurd.

If you voted for the tories, this is all your fault.

The Tories deserve to be thrown in jail for what they've done to our NHS. Their incompetence and corruption is killing people.

A book should be written called ‘How to gaslight a nation’

“That's the standard technique of privatization: defund, make sure things don't work, people get angry, you hand it over to private capital.”

Take a look at the graph for NHS staff pay since 2010. Doctors paid 30% less. How can a service stay top tier when the staff are being paid progressively less and less?

This is the reason why the uk shouldn’t have left the European Union if the uk was doing this then, then European would strip the conservatives of their leadership.

Voting Tory Kills.
Remember when people thought voting against one of the few politicians with an ounce of integrity and instead for known liar and charlatan was a great idea? "Let the bodies pile high" wasn't just Bojo's strap line for the pandemic.

Thatcher's dream realized, in the long game... She would be proud!
Thatcher: There is no society, just business
Modern Tories: Let the bodies pile up in the streets *guffaw*

USA wait times in the ERs are also out of hand, I had pneumonia and at my area hospital it was 4 hours before I saw a PA (physician's assistant) another 9 hours before I saw a doctor and another 5 hours before I got a bed, and the level of care was far from good almost bordering on negligent.

And some people will still vote Tories. Sickening.

this is what happens when medicine is privately owned - you end up paying more for an inferior service, but the owners make a greater profit.... That is why the company wants to own the business - higher profit, and the service of medicine is essential for life. - A guaranteed profit forever.

Look into the very high mortality rate in England (and across the West)....

A former NHS worker, proud of it forever. Definitely need more money to go into it to keep the world-class service alive.
