Edmonton International Airport construction / drop off to check-in area walk 8 mins

I was heading to Vancouver and the construction at the airport had led to traffic in the parkade coz the drop off area is at the white tent in the parkade.
You need to walk for at keast 8 minutes to get to the check-in area.
