Let's remember what happened between Jake and Jane before this, Jane screaming at him for forgetting her birthday, Jane acting crazy in trickster mode, Jane forcing him to marry him while mind controlled, and Jake being killed by Jane. And he still tried to save her.

This is probably the closest equivalent to the Red Wedding Homestuck has.

i remember when i just passed cascade, i heard this thing called 'game over' and i heard it was sad yet awesome so i didnt want to spoil it for myself, and i just kept on hearing about it.
then i saw the command 'GAME OVER' and i fucking flipped my shit.

I think this is the only piece of media I've been exposed to where even though characters get "do overs" and can be revived it's still nerve wrecking and it still hurts when they die.

I just went on the Homestuck webpage to see what the whole OMG the update thing on tumblr was about and let me tell you, I'm hurt that no one told me how fucking awesome the animation in this story is. I've never read a Homestuck anything, but god now I must. Those feels tho
