Cold isn't that big of a deal (as long as you aren't using it in harsh winters). If it's not much less than 40* F, then you can just put a load on the battery for a couple minutes and it should start up like normal (headlights, ignition on).

I went with a Deltran BTL35A480C (marketed under Battery Tender name) 480 LCA battery that is just over 3 lbs. Two plus years of operation and still going strong; I drive the car often enough that I don't usually put it on the tender, but whenever I do, it shows full charge in about 5 minutes.

I was afraid of the tempermental nature of these li-ion batteries so I went with an AGM Odyssey instead. It still shaves a few lbs (including the new tray mount), but hopefully will have a longer service life. I have it hooked up to a charger whenever it's not in use.

Damn Quinn I was so excited until you said it cant sit. My fd sometimes does not get given for a week. I dont want to add more boost to the fd so it's going on a reasonable diet. Trying to keep it streetable so it's not easy. On another subject I sported the slip angle shirt at the Rolex Daytona 24hrs race this weekend. Brap on brother

So its like a big mobile phone battery.. :)
They loose there charge way quicker when cold.. like when the cars left outside ?
and a special external charger if reqd
and I guess you would loose weight from your wallet for the cost..
weight in favour of practicallity..
I need to make sure I can get my blondes home remember :)
