They both sound awesome, but in my autistic mind a chorus pedal HAS to be blue :)

The stereo chorus has a flanger character to it versus the analog chorus is straight up chorus sound with Vibrato capabilities. I like the analog chorus better.

interestingly enough I own both of these. I had purchased the 134 initially because it repucated an old Morley stomp box I used to own, but finidn the features a bit oeverwelming, I daled back to the 234 only to later go back to the 134 which I am presently using bedcuase it defintely has a more pronounced effect. Bearing in mind the price difference and that the 184, the original chorus, is 18 volt while the 234 is only 9 volt. If you have the money, drop it on the 184.

Synth guy butting in: stereo chorus but we're testing only the mono output?

I mean, if the point was just to determine the basic character of the chorus circuits cool... but it isn't a true head-to-head. (I would buy either based on this test, but stereo spread might completely alter that judgment.)

Those are pretty close, I always love the MXR choruses.

Really appreciate your review- I was having a hard time telling the difference- I put on my great sounding Sennheiser headphones closed my eyes and listened two times through. The yellow one sounds slightly richer in tones, twice the price richer (??) that depends on your budget

Great demo! I'd choose the Stereo Chorus.

Thanks Miike, I went with the MXR234 analog chorus.

I have the yellow one which is great for huge stereo width done with almost no sweep

Would love to hear the dry sound first. Can’t tell if the stereo chorus thins out the sound or the analog fattens it

The stereo is the chorus that John Mcglaughlin uses

m134 is pseudo stereo, not true. it inverts the processed signal to one side, so if/when the track is played on a mono system, the chorus effect is completely muted & you're left with only the dry signal.

m234 is dry/wet, so you get one side processed & the other direct.

just throwing this out there for others to see.

Thanks for the video. I was thinking of getting the Analog Chorus to generate stereo signal from a mono synth input, but reading your other comments, will this not work?

Thanks for this video. Prolly a dumb do both of these or either of these pedals work with a solid state amp?
