Place 2 matchstick after column 1
One matchstick after column 2 at bottom
One matchstick after column 3 in the middle
One matchstick after row 1 in the middle
And the last in after row 2 in the end

There is an another solution for this riddle.

See we have total 14 sticks of equal lengths. We can make a cube by using 12 sticks and then we can divide the cube into 4 pieces by using other 2 sticks.
Now we can place all the 4 coins in each equal pieces.
