Thank you for your explanation. One thing I still don't get: PortFast is destined to access ports or ports with devices connected. If a device is connected to that port I assume it is sending traffic through that port. So why would you need PortFast in an access port if the device is already communicating?

So, if I got it right, PortFast will only make a difference if you have an access port with no devices connected and you make a new connection to that port. Then the port would go to "Forwarding" state more quicker. Otherwise, with a device already connected, the port should already be in forwarding state. Is that correct? What have I been missing?

It's 15 seconds, not 20 seconds. I know you said that in your previous video, but I am just clarifying in case someone who doesn't see your previous video comes across this one.

By default, though, the transitional period between listening to learning, and learning to forwarding is 15 seconds, right?
