Why you shouldn’t study in Australia
Показать описание
Why you shouldn’t study in Australia.
The first reason is the costs.
Studying in Australia is insanely expensive. Your cost of living which includes things like rent, food, utilities, travel and anything else will cost you at least $21,000 AUD per year.
Then there’s your actual course fees for what you study.
These can range from anywhere between $6,000 for a trade course to up to $70,000 for a bachelors degree.
And I know a lot of students that come to me to change their course to something cheaper because they’re struggling to earn enough money to support themselves while studying here.
The second reason is that even if you do everything right and graduate, it’s still really hard to get PR in Australia.
The occupation list for PR is changing all the time and something that was on the list when you started studying might not be on the list when you apply for PR.
And even if your occupation is on the list, there’s no guarantee you’ll be successful.
I’ve seen so many people spend several years of their life to try and live in Australia and in the end having to leave because there’s no option for them to live here.
And if you want PR, the Australian government has recently been prioritising people that are not in Australia, which is why a lot of international students that came here hoping to improve their chances are angry and protesting.
Of course they would be angry, they did everything right, spent thousands of dollars, years of their life and now they’re being stepped on.
It’s not easy to earn money in Australia as an international student either and a lot of people need to take study loans from their home country to even apply.
Australia is an amazing country with a lot to offer, but it's not the right choice for everyone.
If you're thinking about studying in Australia, make sure you do your research and know what you’re getting yourself into before making your decision.
