guys, the "chaos scatter surface color" map, the usage i totally got it wrong. It seeems it is meant to take the color from the "distribute-0n" object and give that color (and some variation) to the scattered objects color slot.. and yes it has it s uses and great addition but i was expecting something different.

so it seems i will have to keep converting each material's diffuse map to "corona multimap" and add "hue gamma saturation variation" manually instead of adding it globally, i thought this was it.

Maybe you can introduce a new material type (not a map but a material) that just lets you add variations without visiting each materials diffuse slot.

A worthy competition to Forest Pack! I'm interested to see how this compares to it. Does anyone know if it renders faster or if time to first pixel is faster with Chaos Scatter?

really helpful but i have a problem. i scattered grass to a contour surface but alot of it is scattered few feet above the plane, also the scale of grass is increased several times. would u please tell me how to fix it ?

Can it be scattered over object and using different object IDs? Or do you need to split the original mesh into different parts?

sorry, renderout different machine the tree in different position, if restart the machine render continute the position is wrong, which option can fix it?

It's all well and good, but please, add border restriction to the scatter as quickly as you can. That's one of the biggest things that forces me to use Forest pack instead of Chaos scatter

i have been having problems when using chaos scatter on displacment maps, they dont quite work properly, when increasing the value of the displacement map, the scattered objects dont follow the correct value added, in forest pack they can control it hopefully we also get that in the next update
