I'm way early but I just checked out the new album from German thrash band Space Chaser, Give Us Life. Sounds like Overkill and Vektor. Full album is on metal blade records channel.

Nick and Shred - whatever you guys do, listen to Dungeon Serpent - World of Sorrow. Came out yesterday and it's absolutely glorious melodic death metal (not melodeath, mind you). Even if you don't review it, listen to it. Cheers 🤘

Spectacular review Nick! I've seen this band a couple of times, and they're great. Not really the type of thing I'll sit around and listen to, but after hearing this, I'm game.

This album was the biggest surprise for me in 2021. Everything seems to be fully encapsulated in their photographic album cover. Doomy, ambient, and vast. Probably one of my favorite releases this year!
