My wife and I saw Joan Osborne and Rusted Root in Philadelphia at the Electric Factory in 1995 on the very first date we ever had. I loved Jan's voice and music from the first time I heard her work. I was i a band that I just got back together after 20 years. Don't stop Joan, please, keep creating. "(What if God Were) One of Us" has always reminded me to be humble and treat everyone well, because everyone is deserving of love and kindness. Thanks for making the beginning of my wonderful relationship with my beautiful wife successful.

I love this song, love the lyrics and the line, "Just a stranger on the bus, just trying to make his way home." (That's me, I take the bus all the time.)
