Having been a live audio engineer, I can relate. Sometimes the equipment fails, some times the performers move too quickly through a routine, etc etc. That's when the talent of a really good field engineer is worth their weight in gold.

I honestly think the daylight threw him off, he was very self conscious as we all know and probably felt shy. As a performer myself I can't stand it when I can see the audience I feel embaressed I prefer the spotlight on me and the stage while the audience is in the shadows where I can't see them. Also the many technical issues and band fails certainly messed him up, you can't have people fucking up during a show it completely throws you off, everything must work perfectly, if there's one fuck up it creates a domino effect.
