I was hoping to get some movies with Aang as a teenager/adult as well as the others there's so much untouched story they could tell and I think everyone would agree it would be great to see.

The current avatar always fixed the mistakes of the previous avatar, for example: Roku failed to stop the 100 year War only for Aang to end it. Aang failed to save his people only for Korra to bring back the Air nation. Korra lost her connection to her previous lives. So is it a stretch to say that the next Avatar after Korra will find a way fix the connection to their previous lives? I think Not.

I really do not want a modern day avatar I loved the period with Aang. But i am really hoping for a Zuko looking for his mother series

Avatar: The Last Air Bender is still the best animated series that i ever watched. Nothing beats it!

What I liked about avatar the last airbender is the world and era that they lived in, no advanced technologies. That's what made it special seeing how Sokka and others tried to invent things that will help them in battle. Don't know how I feel about a "modern day" avatar...

I’d honestly rather them just do more animation over a live action. I don’t want them to ruin it

Surprisingly I'm not too interested in knowing who Toph's daughters father's are unless it's like a big plot twist or like Sokka's Suyins dad. I like how Toph is mysterious about it, it very much fits her personality.

Avatar Kuruk is also a special case as well. He died at age 32, which is really young for a avatar. But we learn the reason is because during his time, he was constantly fighting dark spirits. Dark spirits, overtime, was affecting his avatar spirit, which resulted in his early death.

Avatar Kyoshi was able to live to 230 because her earth bender teacher discovered "immortality". Her earth bender teacher was able to live to his 400s

I literally can not wait, Korra was already so futuristic though that it really has me wondering how decades later an Avatar is still even relevant in a more modern and technological world. Love Charlie covering Avatar

My biggest problem with Korra, I think, is that it tried to be too different; whenever we visited a city or different region in the last air bender, it felt like there were hundreds of years of tradition behind their culture, but in Korra it felt like most of that was forgotten and it all just became industrial revolution london. It felt too small, too disconnected. It is just my opinion, but I hope they can recapture that in the legend of Genji.

I'm really glad that they're taking their time to make sure that the series is going to be really great when it comes out.

As much as I loved the original, I am not excited about another Avatar where advanced technologies are ubiquitous. I liked the feeling where if you needed to go somewhere it took several days or weeks. If you have a plane you can pretty much get anywhere within 24 hours. It makes the world feel so small and less immersive. That's why some of my favorite episodes are where Appa is gone or incapacitated and they have to walk. Technology is not a deal breaker but advancing it ties up the writers in a lot of ways so I won't expect it to be any good. Hopefully, the writing will be better. The ending to each major seasonal story arc felt super rushed and unsatisfying in Korra.

We can only hope we get the rest of the Zuko and Fire Lord conversation about his mother!!

Instead of reaching current level technology, I kinda hope that as a result of the opening of the spirit portals, and after seeing the technological terror that was Kuvira's superweapon, after the events of Korra, a new age of spirituality begins, one that sees advances in technology as inherently destructive, which in turn puts the world in a sort of cultural stasis, and the main conflict is one of tradition vs progress, and seeing that the new Avatar will be an Earthbender, it would make sense for him to be split between earth (the traditional element) and metal (the new element)

That explanation to why Aang died "young" is hella sad man :-(

I'm really interested in the sub-bending for Air. It's basically a new slate where everyone is trying to figure it out. Sound bending in particular I think would be OP.

I kind of like the less modern times ones it makes the world more unique, and I just like it better.

7:25, wasn't the first Avatar also able to speak to with Raava with ease. Like the first Avatar, Korra established a fresh, new connection with Raava; something that was probably made easier by the fact that she was once connected with Raava. So, in a way, Korra is the first Avatar in a new line of Avatars. Since the first Avatar in the previous line of Avatars was also able to speak with Raava with ease, then maybe being able to easily speak with Raava has more to do with being the individual incarnations that formed the connection with Raava.

Then again, it might also be something as simple as, once they've spoken with each other once, doing so again is a lot easier.

But, I see Korra as the last Avatar in the original line of Avatars and the first Avatar in the new line of Avatars.

I hope we see this avatar reconnect with the past live like Aang, roku, and Kyushu fix what korra saw as her "greatest mistake " I also want to see pro bending with air added to it. Maybe they use like a yellow gas or smoke.

It's possible that either the new series will establish that Korra, later in life, went through some kind of spirit world journey to re-establish her connection to her past lives, or the new Avatar will do so during the series. I'd probably lean to it being the latter, since if they just handwaved away "oh Korra fixed it while we weren't looking" fans would be upset, plus it would be a big triumphant moment to see the past Avatars, particularly Aang, return.

Perhaps it could be something along the lines of; Korra found a way that she might be able to re-establish the connection but other spiritual experts like Jinora judged it too risky, perhaps it could be that it risked ending the Avatar line altogether if it went wrong, but then some ancient evil emerged that the Avatar had fought before and all record on how the new Avatar could beat it were lost, so they have to risk the attempt after all.
