what about the disposal of waste material after the solar panels and wind turbines break down? the greenest form of clean energy is nuclear, we are wasting rare metals on solar panels etc that dont last very long

This idea of self produced energy is nice and all until nuclear fusion makes it all obsolete 10-20 years down the line, its scary how close we are to unlocking it as a massive, cleanest power source. Solar and all of these alternative energy sources are having a good run, but eventually they will be phased out in the future because fusion will simply be a lot more effective.

lol in my neighborhood there were big storms every summer and the electricity went out for at least a week. this happened for 2 years straight because of climate change

I like solar panels but wind turbines are a major scam. Most of our energy should come from:
1. Nuclear. The best and most reliable form of energy. (We should stop with the pointless wars and put that money into fusion research and NASA funding, with the goal of one day mining Helium-3 from the Moon)

2. Geothermal

3. Bio-Gas and Bio-Mass (from sewage as well as animal and food waste)

4. Solar

5. Tidal

In addition to that we should subsidize the painting of houses within hot areas to be painted white; white reflects all wavelengths of light and therefore stays cooler. White houses = passively cooler = less energy usage.
