AI will replace part of software development starting with boiler plate stuffs and gradually move up from there. For example, it possible to write part of code which uses formal method to prove correctness of distributed system. Only way is up from here

yeap, any model throws you an answer cuz, well, it is a result of computation.
but how the model will filter or separate the relevant data from, I dunno, some random quote from StackOverFlow?
we can do that cuz we are kinda critical creatures - this berry doesn’t looks right and can be poisoned, but AI will offer you that berry because statistically in you region blue colour is pretty popular.

you're 100% correct.
the current trendy version of AI (large-scale neural networks) is only one type of AI and it's absolutely nowhere near human-level intelligence. it's a glorified spellchecker/autocorrect.

It’s actually not about replacing developers but making them more efficient. That doesn’t mean you need to depend on AI completely. This means we as humans need to build skills to learn new skills faster
