And Phil just doesn’t explain it- just goes “oh just ask Techno”

Given that pigs take about six months to reach the weight for slaughter (250 lbs), I’d say that Techno being adopted but seeing Phil more as a friend than a father, makes a lotta sense. Their being different species factors in a great deal given that pigs have always been focused on their own survival, whereas cats and dogs actually live in symbiosis with humans. Pigs are mini bulldozers which decide what’s going on and you have to live with it. Wild Boar prove this without a shadow of a doubt.

I can just picture Phil, doing his usual thing on a hardcore play through, and finding a little Piglin acting all innocent and sweet while playing in the Soulsand. Phil, immediately struck in the heart by how cute the little bastard is, takes the bacon bit up to the overworld with special enchanted armour. Bringing him home, he raises Techno as his own, while a young Wilbur and Tommy look at this bipedal pig like “wtf Dadza”. Techno grows way Fucken faster than the boys and shows his need for the armour is no more, before setting off on his own. He holds his adoptive family close to his heart yet sees Phil as his bestie rather than as his parent, as he knew his parents and was merely pulled into a far better situation than either of those Nether-born pork loins could provide.

I'm an extrovert, and this is indeed how this works. We see someone just standing there, and our immediate instinct is to go talk to them. Don't know why, but we just do :)

HAH! That's the one thing me and Techno got in common. I've got social anxiety, and being an introvert doesn't help. So when somewhere new I just stand there looking lonely or lost and some extrovert comes and says hi. Then they start a conversation and I just casually join their group so I'm not alone. Granted I hardly talk and just listen to there conversations because more often then not I have nothing in common with them, but it's better than just sitting there alone. Works every time.
