John is such a humble guy. He’s like the best of the best and still humble AF.

It's funny, the video explaining the song is shorter than the actual song.

I love this song more than I love some people in my life.

The funny thing is they actually are geniuses.

It's so unfortunate that Johns endorsement doesnt allow him to speak about ibanez and a lot of previous gear he used to use... its very obvious he's trying to talk around it.

This is the kind of video I like before watching

He should write music for videogames again! Imagine reaching a JRPG boss and a fucking JP riff starts playing. I would nut.

“I wrote music for the Sega Saturn... a game called Necronomicon!”

“Is that like an Evil Dead thing?”

“I guess so!”

It’s literally a pinball game lmfao

holy crap the way Home -> Metropolis Part 1 -> The Dance of Eternity flows is actually super cool, never heard that theory before but it's super cool, even if it wasn't intended

My friend in King's Park used to get guitar lessons from John and my friend in West Islip as well when I was in High School. I didn't think anything of it till my buddy in WI showed me Metropolis when Images and Words was just released. We spent the next 8 years following them around, evening hanging out with Mike Portnoy after a drum clinic in Cherry Hill Sam Ash one night. DT is such a part of my childhood then after years of not listening, the Astonishing blew me away. These guys have so much more still to say.
