Great video Kris! One fact is also that the total market is double the Norwegian market, which means that 30% of the market in Sweden would mean 60% share of EVs if you compare it to the volume in Norway. Not the right way to compare but it gives you another view.

No wonder Recharge in Norway have less and slower charging than Sweden, they are one of the most expensive networks and mostly only have 50kW chargers while at the same locations there often are many 150/200/350kW chargers that cost less. And when they upgrades, like at IKEA in Bergen, they choose to remove the 50kW chargers (that Recharge had a lower price on) and replace them with 15 of the 200kW chargers. Have anyone from Recharge been at IKEA ? 200kW chargers there is kind of useless, when you go in to IKEA it will take a lot of time and 50kW is more than enough ! Actually it would make more sense with a huge number of 50kW chargers there, or even slower, that would allow you to use the 2 hours that is hard to avoid and get the car up to 80-90% when done. 200kW makes more sense along the roads where you do not want to spend more time than a toilet visit and a coffee.
I personally avoid chargers that comes up without a price tag in apps that cover all network (like Chargefinder), so Recharge and Mer is two of the charging network that I have skipped lately. Sorry, Recharge, not a fan

Growth will be higher in emerging EV markets rather than a mature market, size of each market is another factor.

Norwegian national car is Tesla and they have a huge own charging network.

Maybe the price of KW being delivered is cheaper in Sweden

Last year and even now we got alot of more chargers. Government had last year that alot most be done to get financial help so charging companies solved that to secure it. Even truck charging stations have open with government financial help. New government have taken away all incentives for Bev and sayed they will take this money to build out the charging network in better speed. So the effect of sales havent seen yet because of delivery time . But seen Mg has 50 000:- lower the price on MG5 and Byd 70 000:- lowered price MG4 35000:-. Tesla lowered 150 000:- Modell Y. Ford Mach e also lowered there price. So Tesla still selling good with the new price

I am absolutely loving this geeky data, but damn, you stole all my free time this morning 😂.

I'd agree with your own analysis with Swedish BEVs being more modern and faster charging. Once reliable infrastructure is there EV drivers actually dare to use their BEVs on long trips and need to charge them as fast as the cars can. So as long as there's enough reliable (see, I repeat that) HPCs around, growth in that segment will highly likely outgrow the number of BEVs sold as people with them roadtrip more and longer. Given that the initial charge you bring from home normally covers a great deal of the outbound journey, you only need to increase the total distance roadtripped a little bit in order to double the charging needed to be done enroute.

The Swedes will be in need of more energy/car on road trips in general as their road network is way faster than the Norwegian counter part (and they drive it too😂). That really drives up consumption. Even though I neither live in the Nordic countries, nor own a BEV, when I last rolled in to a Recharge charging station in Sweden a few weeks ago the Mach-E I was driving had a consumption of 32.0 kWh/100km over the last 222km, and I was very pleased with that... (Let's see how much more the XC40 P8 we've got lined up next will use... (Doubt that brick will make it to that charger despite warmer temperatures 🙈) I certainly upped the average stats for Recharge as we rolled in with 3% and maxed out that charging curve at the fully occupied kempower site.😊

Can Recharge please expand in to northern UK as we are in desperate need of more reliable HPCs. Currently considering replacing my PHEV with yet another PHEV despite loving driving BEVs. All down to the fact that BEV sales have very much outgrown the little infrastructure going in. In the Nordics I really see the growth in BEVs on the roads, sites and working chargers every time we visit. Here I just see the increase in BEVs around the cities, not as much on the open roads and certainly not the needed increase in working HPCs.

Meanwhile we poor Finns drive our old ass dinofuel cars and there are no Government incentives to buy EV’s apart from the lower taxation rate. Truly abysmal.
