The bore and stroke being 86mm each is just a happy coincidence of a square bore 2.0lt 4 cylinder engine. SR20s, 4B11s, K20s, 3SGTEs all have 86mm bore and stroke

I don’t know why people often call the GT86/BRZ a bad buy. I think it is as good as the original AE86 as an affordable RWD sports car. Sure it is NA but stop asking for a turbo because anyways the Supra is returning. Anyhow, I can’t really choose between the Miata and GT86/BRZ because they are both great cars and good bargains.
