The end of an era is coming and #Lexus is doing a final send off to enthusiasts looking for a special engine under the hood of a sport sedan. The #LexusIS500FSport may not quite be the direct replacement to the old #LexusISF, but this new #IS500FSportPerformance has the same screaming 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 under the hood. With rumors of the next generation #LexusIS to be going fully electric, this #LexusIS500 is sure to become an instant collectors car.

Hey guys! So this video was filmed before Lexus announced the changes coming for the 2024 model year and we are sad to confirm that changes for the IS lineup for 2024 are very minimal and the car did not get the new Lexus interface infotainment system which was a rumor. Lexus did introduce a special appearance package for the IS 500 F-Sport for 2024 and only 150 units will be produced in a special Blue Vector paint job with matching contrast blue stitching on the interior. We expect a new generation to show up for 2025.

I love the fact that a company like Lexus is still making naturally aspirated V8 rear wheel driven cars. And they're not just making one of them, they make three of them! That's quite rare these days.

472hp for a reliable and durable brand of a car. Definitely better than Germans. German car will have slightly more performance but no reliability. It's easy to mod that lexus to give it some more wasted performance

Nothing like the linear response of an NA V8. What a fun yet relaxed daily this would be. The Lexus reliability is a significant bonus to this cars appeal.

I know ppl rag on Lexus for being behind the competitors, but one thing I can say is it’s works flawlessly and it’s reliable. Most features I don’t really use so it’s ok for someone like me. And the price is about the same as the ISF so I love them for that. I love my ISF

This will age like the ISF. Hold its value with the V8

Remember, old doesn’t mean bad
Everyone is always focused on the new latest tech, especially car reviewers but forget that an older car doesn’t mean it’s bad

I had an IS 350 F-Sport from 2017-2020 and I fell in love with it.

Unfortunately, had some rough financial times so I couldn’t keep up with it and ultimately, gave it back to Lexus.

Things are much different now, and I will be picking up the last model in this line (more than likely the 2024 model) at some point in the future, maybe once there’s been some depreciation on it.

No way in hell I’m picking up the EV.

Just a magnificent offering for Lexus. NA V8 to die for + impeccable design. Might be one of their best.

In 5 years the Lexus will be running perfectly like a Seiko watch. The European competition will be heading into the shop yet again for overpriced servicing. Ever since Lexus first came to our shores, they have been one of the best companies in the World for reliability. V-8's are Great!

This refreshed exterior still looks great. Personally, i like the interior red. Warmer shade of red is nice.

I don't think people realize how rare and appreciate the fact that this is a Naturally Aspirated V8 in 2023...alas the value will only go up from here.

4.7 seconds no launch control. That's FAST, for anyone in the dark. Race this car on a roll and it will keep up with most cars with a faster 0 to 60 time

These are amazing vehicles. If only I wasn't buried in student debt....

You'll get better acceleration times if you do the run in Manual mode and shift right at redline with the paddles. Leaving it in Drive short shifts. Known Lexus "thing".

Hey, love your reviews and been an subscriber for YEARS you're my go to for car reviews. Just a small suggestion I think if you did more car versus car videos that will be great and would also push you to over 1million subs people love those and how detailed you are combined would be amazing thanks hope you take this into consideration

In its class of vehicles the IS is the best looking in my eyes. It's funny how many people agreed with me on that because I thought I was the only one

This looks just as muscly as a Camaro, is as luxurious as an Audi S5, shaped closely to a Porsche Panamera and will drive probably just as many miles as a Toyota Camry. It's was hard for me to imagine adding it to the garage because I have a Corvette. But after driving all day in the vette while thinking about this car, it really is the quieter, comfier ride with a ride height for the real world and the reliability to put the pretty expensive price tag in a safer financial category. You can get a used 911 for the same price, a used Audi S5/6/7/8 for the same price and even the LC500 is a little bit more. But after 10 years, this IS500 would give you just as many smiles without many trips to the mechanic. And for me it gives me the excuse to gut the mediocre interior of my Corvette and throw a half cage in there for a loud windy gas smelling ride on the weekend.
