With the Rimworld Anomaly DLC, we see a psychological horror theme added to Rimworld in what is arguably the most unique of the Rimworld expansions. A strange monolith is found on the map and things can soon devolve as horrifying entities appear and threaten the colony in ways never experienced before. In addition, Rimworld Anomaly also adds ways to contain these entities, dark new psychic rituals and a new ending to Rimworld.

Rimworld is a Sci-Fi colony builder simulation game focused on managing a small group of survivors with the goal of eventually building a space ship to escape the planet. Rimworld is developed and published by Ludeon Studios. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the game went through several Alpha and Beta versions before seeing the release of the Rimworld 1.0 version in October 2018. This playthrough uses Rimworld 1.5, the latest update to the game.

This thing defeated an endgame raid and had like 60% of its health left. I had to throw 20 guys at it and it took Charge Snipers, Rocket launchers, Grenades and a ton of melee units to take it down.

This thing is insane.

Cool thing is that the spehere itself owes half of its name after nocioreceptors, the nerve endings responsible for sensing pain stimuli.

This thing is deadly.
It is one of the best armoured "vanilla" enemies, with 100% sharp and blunt armour - outclassing everything except imperial Cataphracts - and you can't cheese it with blunt attacks.
It constantly teleports around and it has 3 base attacks.
The pain pullse - Area of effect attack that instantly downs affected pawns with pain.
Heatspikes - basically a rapid fire charge rifle attack - fires something around 9 shots, 15 damage each.
And Fleshmelter - basically the same as Diabolus AoE attack, except with far shorter cooldown, giving you very little time to avoid it.
With some luck, this blasted thing can solo entire raids.

Nociosphere is vulnerable to EMP - it is stunned by it, but has 50% resistance, so multiple EMP weapons are advised to keep it stunlocked.
Without EMP - you need massed, heavy firepower to deal with it - if you have to fight it.

I suspect that it's a "no-see-o-sphere" - nociception is essentially the sense of pain, being how harmful stimuli are encoded by the nervous system. That would make "Nociosphere" literally translate to "pain ball" which, given what you've explained, makes a lot of sense.

Pretty sure it doesnt go for unconscious people, so you could anesthetize your colony before having a sleepy pawn/sacrafice release it.

А еще можно поставить её за стеной килбокса и добавить автобонг за вентиляцией и получить -40 сознания рейдерам. -40 блин, где вы еще такое видели?)
Только активность нужна повыше, или можно сделать к ней проход и бить перед рейдом чтобы повысить активность

This thing is obscenely tanky. Each part has something like 1500 health but it dies after 3000 damage regardless. It also has really high armour that makes it difficult to get the full damage from each attack. Good news is you only have to survive it not kill it. Each rampage has a set duration and if it kills all the enemies before the end of the rampage it starts going towards your base. If the enemies (or your own pawns) outlast it then it returns to its holding spot (or for the final rampage, entirely disappears)

Didn't know there was a range for it on that last bit, thought it just locked onto the nearest valid entity and teleported.

I like the idea of having to lock up a super weapon because its taken so many lives and is so dangerous it causes pain even being close to it.
