Vanchippattu or the Boat Song is a poetic song that has a rhythm similar to that of rowing the boat. It is well-known for its mesmerizing vibe and energy that is instilled in both the performers as well as the listeners. It was created by Ramapurathu Varyar whilst a boat trip along with the king Marthandavarma of Travancore.
