You forgot the part where you're constantly going back to watch the same section of the tutorial over and over again, because you have no idea what their saying or doing half the time and they don't bother to reiterate. But everything else is pretty accurate.

Worst part is when you've been following a tutorial for 20 minutes only to get stuck when the guy in the video tells you to click something that doesn't exist anymore because Blender updates every 2 days or something

Once you remember learning is a thing my vision blurs and I pass out.

The one thing I hate is when you run into a stupid issue, and no one on the internet has the solution to fix it.

i learned by having fun and doing 1 thing at a time, everyone's gonna be overwhelmed if they wanna learn how to model, uv map, texture, bake maps, light up the scene, render.. all at once

The 4 horsemen of "What is all this there's like 300 buttons"

● Airplane Cockpits
● Music setups
● Blender
● Phone calculators when you turn them sideways

Been using blender for the better part of a decade and I'd say I finally understand the basics now

my favorite part is when the tutorial tells you to use a certain feature that doesn't exist on your copy of the software for some reason

or when they talk for 10 minutes about the most basic stuff and then just glaze over the part you're having trouble with.

The moment you sacrifice the default cube to add another, you're bound to Blender no matter what

I love when they expect you to have a plug-in and don’t tell you about it until you google where the button is that you can’t find

The fact that even specific types of tutorials are like this should be the answer to why Grief is more than just 5 stages.
People really wonder why it's still been taking me years to get my fan film out!

This is horrifyingly true.

Someone really needs to create some tutorials that are both fun to watch and easy to understand.

YouTube's algorithm is magical, just yesterday I was trying to make a few models in blender for a model, and the video is totally true, I have unlocked a new respect for 3D animators and modelers

I found a channel that makes 1 minute long video tutorials of blender.
I learned how to make an ocean that moves, a grass field and an entire sky dome in 3 minutes, he has tutorials how to make rain too.

Then used those things as landscape as I made an entire animation with a free model I found, using a 5 mins tutorial about how to add keyframes, completely clueless how everything else worked.

The result looks great, despite some issues with some frames of the animation!

To be fair, Blender has become increasingly complicated over the years due to how much new features have been added, which makes it less beginner-friendly, but also allows it to keep up and rival industry standard softwares.

That being said, it's still less of a headache to learn that C4D, Maya, 3DS Max and the lot.

Blender has a very steep learning curve, but once you've climbed up to it, everything will feel so much easier and able to learn faster and faster.
