Problem with Saban’s theory is that the scoreboard means everything to Eberflus. If he doesn’t win 9 games they are going to fire him. Which means Williams gets a whole new set of coaches in year two making the odds of him being a successful QB long term even more difficult.

Same old Bears. Most delusional fan base in all of sports. Still bragging about a Super Bowl they won forty-years ago. They’ve done nothing since. Now they’re lying to themselves about Williams. He’s an unproven ROOKIE quarterback. You have Chicago sports pundits crowing him the great Bears quarterback of all time. Other fanbases don’t react this way before a rookie has taken their first snap. Eberflus isn’t the head coach you want when you’re developing a young quarterback. He’s a defensive coordinator, and not a very good one. I predict of rough year for Williams at best, because most rookie quarterbacks struggle their first year. At worst he can’t make it in the NFL and uses his twenty-five million dollar sign on bonus to open a chain of nail salons.
