Those were the days! Horses qt least got some respect. As a nation that would never have been as advanced as soon as we were without horses you'd think we'd protect and respect horses more!!! They were not just for entertainment, but were our police, military, vehicle, pulled our goods around, and even saved our lives, they were loyal companions, some of whom were honored as they should have been and even given funerals that people attended, brought flowers to their graves, etc.. humans these days have lost their Humanity/ability to be humane and compassionate and honest. Horses should forever be valued, but not used and abused for value and greed!!!

Sham was an amazing racehorse but born in the wrong year. He looks so narrow and small next to Big Red on the stretch.
