One difference for sure – Cliff would play ALL with two fingers (I used three on Frayed and Eve, the rest – two). For those who didn't know: Cliff had an injury (torn ligament) that didn't allow him to play with the ring finger to full extent. Still underrate Cliff?

Cliff playing live for sure, but I think he would've reigned it in a bit for the recording time on Justice. He absolutely killed it recording Ride The Lightening. The punchy bright tone of his Ric well complimented his aggressive playing style there. However on Master of Puppets he took a 'less is more' approach allowing his Aria's low end to breathe, growl, and flow. I think he would've eventually done the same for Justice.

Just my two cents though... IMO, the most obvious and tragically missed aspect to Justice's songs (besides Jason's bass) to me was the potential for BASS SOLOS!!! Cliff's musical mind would've no doubt made 'To Live Is To Die' the finest, most pinnacle metal instrumental of all time.

Justice is my favourite album. For many years it was Puppets, but I've rediscovered Justice, even though it's a little thin sounding, but to me it is the complete Metallica album. Nice work Andriy

Everything in this album just sounds so badass with finger style bass. I mean, Jason's picc style is cool, and I stuff love God that failed, wild things and misery, but the fingers just give every note so much meat.

So Sad Cliff died at just 24 but at the same time left such a lasting legacy from stuff he recorded barely out of his teens. Really enjoy the stuff you do here man really makes you wonder what if he never died what the next couple Metallica albums would be like.
