2021 Venza Hybrid A Different review

A Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician reviews the 2021 Toyota Venza Hybrid in a different way. Technical information, new features and more.

In this video I premiere the first new model review on the channel. I usually don't like when car journalists bash great reliable sensible Toyota cars.

In this review we get straight to the point on this 2021 Venza Hybrid. I go over the engine and the hybrid system information. Give you a tour of what's under the hood.

I also show you the new lithium ion hybrid battery. I also show you the spare tire which is now an alloy wheel. Also show you the location of the 12V battery and the jump start terminals under the hood.

I also cover some of the things I like about this Venza hybrid. And some things I don't like. And my overall opinion of the car.

Questions? Comment or email please note that it takes me sometime to get back to you via email but I always will in the end.

Excellent review. Finally someone who actually understands and gives an in depth explanation and review of the engine and hybrid system.

I just brought one of these yesterday. It's a pretty nice ride for successful suburban soccer moms that retired their 200k+ mile Sienna's when the kids started driving themselves. It's a very classy, green grocery getter, kayak hauler, that impresses the tough to please, newly empty nested, menopausal ex-soccer mom... Priceless! (YMMV but only XLE + serious upgrades or limited + ). BTW, your channel and vids are amazing! As a manager of high tech senior technicians in the semiconductor industry, I would hire you in a split second. Nice work!

I own this car and just love it; it is the nicest car I have ever owned. Came from a Kia sole which was cheap and looked like it. So, I have not really noticed road noise since the kia was very noisy. I really like the way it steers, and it is so comfortable. I cannot really say this is a deficit, but the car can be distracting there is so much you can look at on the screen and the console you must have some discipline to keep your eyes on the road and not be playing with all the settings. One other thing that lots of cars with large screens have is the design of the screen it looks like it was just stuck on the dash as an afterthought. I hope to keep it for a long time if I don’t wrap it around a tree looking at the performance data. Thanks for another excellent video I have learned so much about my car from you.

I bought the Venza XLE over the RAV4 because it is a quiet smooth ride comparatively and I’m enjoying the way it drives. My complaints are miner and the same as most video reviews I’ve seen: I wish it had more storage compartment areas in the front cabin, the rear turn signals should be placed higher for safety, and the glossy black touch pad only controls are not convenient for keeping your eyes on the road.

Lord bless you. I would like that car journalists are doing reviews more honest like you do. Thank you!

We have owned an XSE RAV 4, Now we own a Venza Limited, I would say the RAV4 was no quieter than the Venza, we think they are both good SUV’s in their own right, but we got tired of the fuel tank issue in the RAV4, we never really knew what economy we had, we knew it was in the mid 40s probably 45 mpg or more ; we’re expecting the same with Venza, great vehicle, but annoying to have to put up with it ; we’ve only had the Venza a short while, our first impressions we think it’s more refined ride quality wise and interior wise has some nice fit and finishes. For the money it’s very good value, we’ve had a number of Lexus RX350, they are quiet and refined but no where as good on gas consumption unless you pay for the expensive hybrid version, , but we think the Venza is hard to beat, probably $25 k cheaper than the Lexus . We also have the wonderful Avalon hybrid incidentally gets regular 60 mpg summer, cooler weather 50mpg plus, which is quieter because of the double glass used ; if Toyota put the double glass in all their hybrids it would make a difference driving highway . All in all these hybrids are excellent. Which ever one takes your fancy you should enjoy the ride, test drive every one till your satisfied which works for you personally, we test drove all including the highlander hybrid, we think Toyota is doing a great job .

A refreshing experience to watch a car review. I tested this specific model when it first came out, and I noticed it is relative noisy on the freeway. I was questioning my gut feelings cause all other journalists reviewers commented it is a quiet car in their reviews. Not any more after see your review. A very informative and honest review. Thanks.

Really different kind of review, mainly that I am a TOyota owner and lots of things I know already about the brand and have an older Venza wanted to compare to the new model, many questions got answered and this review is way better than others which are useless (sales oriented). Thx

I’m glad you mentioned road and wind noise. That’s what I experienced on the test drive. That being said, in there press release they said they addressed it with additional sound insulation and an acoustic front windshield.

Nice to have your insights to these vehicles. Especially the similarities to other vehicles and platforms. So many positives to these vehicles that it’s nice to hear a few negatives. This sets expectations well May the Lord bless both of you, AMD

I love my 2021 Venza XLE with about every option except the panoramic roof.I have 26, 000 miles on it. I bought it new and took advantage of each of the services under the 25, 000 mile free maintenance offered. I love it. My gas mileage has increased as it learned my driving behavior. I very much like my no button touch screen. The car as the car nut says “Makes me smile.”
