Yes brushing from top to bottom instead of sideways is the correct method confirmed by dentist who once gave seminar at my school.

Water pre-rinse > floss > rinse > brush > spit with no rinse or toothpaste foam in mouth + water rinse > fluoride rinse

I just do a rotating motion for the front teeth for 2-3 minutes with the brush usually aimed a bit sideways. And then afterwards brush my wisdom teeth with a left to right motion. After brushing and cleaning, i use toothpicks to clean any gunk stuck to the inner side of my wisdom teeth

You're actually supposed to wait 30 minutes after brushing to use mouthwash because the fluoride in toothpaste is more concentrated than in the mouthwash. Also DO NOT RINSE WITH WATER!!! And floss before brushing instead of after. Flossing before gets all the gunk out so that the toothpaste and bristles can thoroughly clean the areas you just flossed.

This is true but don’t rinse your mouth with water Becasue the fluorite in the toothpaste that is protecting ur teeth long term will get washed of so if you need to rinse use mouth wash or don’t rinse at all

When you wash out ur mouth with water, it’ll get rid of the toothpaste. So I’d you don’t wash out ur mouth with water the toothpaste could possibly spread around ur tooth..

Rinse mouth, Rinse Brush, Apply Toothpaste, Rinse toothpaste on Brush, Do teeth front, sides, bottom, top, inner / back teeth, brushing across, up, back, down across in an oblong shaped motion.

That's how I do it and it's served me alright for nearly 30 years.

I've always done this all the time before brushing my teeth. After eating i drink a lot of water and before toothbrush i rinse my mouth and make sure that there is no food particles left behind. And there you go it's all good now u can brush it.

Also, don’t rinse after! It washes out all the protective agents (mostly fluorides) which keep your teeth safe after brushing.
