Collectivism is an ideological principle that places the needs of the group before the needs of the individual. Major contributors to collectivist thinking include people like Bernie Sanders and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. As a a whole, it aims to use government power to create a more equal and just society.

We work together with those we voluntarily resonate with. Individual freedom ensures collective freedom. We arent ants.

Collectivism = where we all share an equal life of the same misery. No thanks. It's been tried and failed many times.

Fascism is collectivist and they are inegalitarian. Though the right apart from fascists (who are socialists) are at least more individualistic than the left even if most of them are collectivists.

Just my 2 cents:

We are not all equal in talent, skill, or abilities. If we were there would be no need for free will or individuality.
Collectivism is based on a flawed philosophy that we are all equal in thoughts, abilities, talent, creativity and emotions.

We all have equal individual rights given by the creator, hence our constitution that restricts the Government from violating our rights.

However, we are all far from being equal. A big difference between equal rights and equal ability, talent, and etc....

The "inequality" you speak of is made up. You cant say collectivism will fix "inequality". Because the collective can not fix individual abilities or inabilities.
Some people are natural geniuses, prodigies. Most people have to work really hard to gain a skill or ability. Collectivism can not fix that.
Besides what kind of a world would this be if everyone had the brains of nicholai tesla, or if everyone was just as talented as Michael Jordon, or Tiger woods in his prime. It would be a very gray and boring world. Everyone is a Michael Angelo, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson.
Collectivism won't fix laziness, sloth, greed, envy and etc.

Collectivism will however, eliminate individual drive, inspiration and motivation to innovate, produce art, perfect processes, build, and etc...

Collectivism is the belief that the individual must sacrifice for the sake of the group - the collective. That works great for ants - but not for rational men. Those of you who are irrational might prefer to be part of a collective because without the strength of the mob, you are unable to take from the rational creators what you need to survive.

Individualists are NOT isolationists. Individualists value other men for their voluntary achievements and abilities. Individualists seek to trade with like-minded men, NOT to enslave them.

Every horrific war on earth was fought in the name of collectivism.... including every religious war... every war meant to impose someone's ideology (Marxism, Communism, Stalinism, Socialism, Nazism, Fascism, etc.).

The American Revolutionary War was actually started by The British in an attempt to continue their enslavement of their American "subjects" after those "subjects" declared themselves free from British tyranny.

There is NO SUCH THING as freedom of the collective.

Collectivism can only be achieved through violence.
