This old man has seen many bands from many genres of music. Ive seen the advent of mtv;ive been on stage with music legends, but I've never seen a group of musicians with the depth of talent and charisma than the beaches!!

I hope one day this song gets recognized for the masterpiece that it is. Brilliant lyrics, heartbreaking lead vocal, amazing multi-layered harmonies, stellar arrangement.

Their ability to write blissfully silly pop songs like I'll Grow Up Tomorrow one day then serious heartfelt earworms like this the next day tells me they will be around as long as bands like Blue Rodeo and Sloan. Sometimes it takes longer than it should, but cream rises to the top eventually.

"Blame My Ex" is a remarkable album; a triumph in every respect. "If a Tree Falls" is IMO the second-best song; "Edge of the Earth" is the best.
