Sometimes you just want to level up fast in SWTOR, to see the amazing class stories or to get to max-level quickly. Here’s how to level up fast. Heads up, you do NOT need to do any of these to enjoy the game, they’re only for players looking to speed level. Most of these tips are going to be for experience players making their next character – if you’re new, leveling without any boosts is still quite fast. You will reach max level long before you reach the end of your main storyline no matter what method you use to level. Updated for 2023!

I started playing 2 weeks ago, and i love taking my time because i'm really invested in my class story but i can see how to use these methods for other classes i´m less interested in, so i can get legendary status

Remember back in the day when you had to do every single quest to be a recommended level for the next planet ?

Always do the black talon or essles fp as soon as you exit your starter planet, this will not only give you higher gear pieces but it will also give you a level boost before you go to DK or corusaunt and it’s fun:)

I started exiting the Second Combat Style Mission as soon as I start a new character, placing the new character on the Fleet.
Just talking to each crafting vendor jumps a few levels, and taking a transport to the alternate starting planet to explore first.
I don't even begin a new character until I've acquired their specific outfit, weapon, & mount. Having every companion(except Lysslo) unlocked, I even try to start with specific companions(at lvl 50), which could also need customizing. I suggest military outfits for Shae Vizla & definitely get the Visa Marr outfit/headpiece for either Darth Hexid or Master Ranos, making them Miraluka! The headpiece goes very nicely with the more elegant outfits(with dyes). The opening cutscenes with more seasoned characters always look way better then a noob right off the ship!

Here is my routine for power leveling after creating a new toon:

1. Open my 5 cantina crates that you get in the mail initially (Note: these were rewards for subscribers back in 2.x, around the time GSF was introduced in the game) and try to get a few extra XP boosts or black/black dyes. If I'm not satisfied in my rewards, I just delete the character and recreate until I am satisfied with my random rewards.
2. Grab a few million credits from my legacy bank and unlock all the character perks for the activities I plan on doing (exploration XP, story XP, flashpoint XP, PVP XP, etc.) Also, unlock speeder training 1 at level 1 so I can use a mount right away.
3. Pick out my outfit and weapons I will use from collections and apply some dyes, and stamp them to outfitter. Also unlock my mounts I have in collections.
4. Whisper someone in my guild to invite my new character to guild.
5. Put on my DVL leveling armor set for the extra XP (Note: This was a reward for completing activities during the DVL event back in 4.x.)
6. Pop all titles received in the mail after character creation (These are rewards from various things over the years....Pre-order, subs, Amazon, various legacy achievement awards, etc.) Some of these titles reward XP after popping them. You can be level 2 or 3 before even doing anything, after popping them (little higher if during double XP events.)
7. Go to my non-decorated Rishi Stronghold then deactivate the Stronghold. You will be kicked to Rishi (Note: only do this if you originally used CCs to purchase your Stronghold so that you can reactivate it later for free.) Then go explore Rishi. After exploring Rishi and unlocking all the accessible areas, go to your Yavin IV stronghold and rinse and repeat with Yavin IV. NOTE: Before you could have someone invite you to their Rishi and/or Yavin IV strongholds and they could just kick you to the planets without deactivating, but Bioware fixed it. That method doesn't work anymore. You will just be kicked fleet. Hence the reason now you have to deactivate a stronghold to get kicked to planet. If you didn't initially purchase your Stronghold with CCs, you will have to rebuy the stronghold with credits again to reactivate it. Also, note that when you deactivate a stronghold, it will pick up all decorations and when you reactivate it, your stronghold will be empty. I never did decorate my Rishi and Yavin IV strongholds anyway. So it doesn't bother me.
8. After exploring Rishi and Yavin IV with all your boosts and perks activated, you should be around level 30-something (a little higher, closer to 40, if it is during double XP events.)
9. Now I usually go get my ship by starting my story line on starter planet, followed by the next planet (DK or Coruscant). Once I have my ship, I go explore other high level planets for a few more levels.
10. Now I do Heroics until I reach level 70-75. From there, I do the dailies/weeklies that aren't reliant on class story and I can do without doing any other content (Black Hole, Section X, CZ-198, Oricon Story followed by Oricon dailies/weeklies.)
11. If not level 80 yet, you should be very close and it should only take a couple more activities. Take your pick....a few PVP warzones/arenas, a few GSF matches, a couple Flashpoints, more Heroics, etc.

Back in the day, when level cap was lower, I used to be able to power level from level 1 to level cap in one day during double XP events. Now that the level cap is 80, it takes me 2 days of dedicated play during double XP event. If it isn't double XP event, then it takes me around 3 days of dedicated play (4 days, if not dedicated, all-day play.)

I remember old swtor used to be really hard to level lol. Now from what I've seen, it just looks really easy. While no I don't really play anymore since yeah I'm kinda more into corporate clash now (you should try it one day maybe).

I do a little bit of all of this, and typically end up leveling very, very fast. Most of my leveling comes from guild activities, honestly, as I'm guilded with a guild focused on Conquest and the events they host usually involve activities that net tons of experience along with a lot of Conquest points, and vice versa. I tell people all the time, that if they're focused on leveling FAST choosing the right guild is of paramount importance. Look for a more active guild, basically. But seriously, good video as usual, SWTORISTA, thank you!!

My biggest and most fun method is just playing the story and once you got on a new Planet, just do the Heroics on that planet with an healer companion. You get the best gear for your lvl, much exp, quite a lot of credits and can focus on the story mission and challenge yourself (helps for learning your class) With this I get max lvl after Chapter 2 every time!!

"-So how do i level up fast.
- First, you need a disturbing amount of caffeine and several sleepless nights..."

Me in 2015 explaining how to level fast. Thank goodness it's so much more convenient with boosters from quests and guild perks.

9th toon, after being AFK for a while, I kept the complimentary XP boosts on, had enough legacy to get Legacy XP boosts. Did story and planet purples. Hit LVL 80 with the xp from arriving on Illum.
