5.0 Coyote Jig Streamer | Euro Streamer for Maximum Depth! | Fly Tying Tutorial

In this fly tying tutorial Cheech ties the 5.0 Coyote Jig Streamer.

Several years ago we were fishing jig streamers with our buddy Alec Gerbec when he pulled the dirty trick of fishing a double beaded jig streamer in deep holes. Needless to say, I started making sure I had more super heavy bomb style jig streamers in my arsenal after that day. This one is a depth charger designed with simple materials that can simply be wrapped on the hook (AKA no dubbing...) Anyhoo, like always, feel free to make these your own with color and size variations!

I’ve been tying streamers like this for spin fishing Strawberry Reservoir since I am yet to buy a lake rod. Any recommendations?. Also another killer pattern I use at strawberry and fast / deep river euro jig fishing is Egan’s poacher but in white with a silver bead at the head and a chartreuse bead for the second location which acts as a hot spot.

6:07 Cheech, tell me why you chose such a short jig hook? We all have our preferences and mine would have been a longer shank hook to improve the gap a bit(the space between the hook point and the eye of the hook). That said, I’m sure you have a strategic, fish catching reason for using the short shank jig hook, please enlighten me señor?
