I learned a lot! My subscription to Ancestry just ended but when I subscribe again I know a new thing to check out! I know many things about my Revolutionary War ancestors but I can’t wait to find out the “extra nuggets “🥰 Thank You

Thanks this is great! I had one family that had 8 of 9 sons serve. One time I was indexing Revolutionary War records and came across some of my own family names! That was cool.

Interesting details about how to use this resource. One thing occurred to me. If the widow signed her name with an X mark on the pension application it seems like someone else with very nice hand writing filled out all the names and birthdates in the 1805 family bible. I'm not questioning the accuracy or validity of the information, just that maybe she had to have someone else write it for her.
