001: Grasshopper - Parametric Surface Interference

Just keep in mind that this is not a true interference pattern. For true interference, the wave from each point would add and subtract across the base surface, and in this example the wave from each point simply replaces the wave from the other without adding or subtracting. For this to work one would have to duplicate the script for a second point, then add the Z values at each point, then surface from points

Oh... But at the end, when I tried the "bake" command, I only got points and not a surface...

Hi Patrick, thank you for posting the tutorial. Could you please try and help me, when i plug in the Z vector into Vector/amplitude node absolutely nothing happens. Im obviously doing something wrong but have gone through the video twice withe the same result.

Hi Patrick great tutorial! I have a problem, I'm not sure why my points are not moved radially from the centre point. Instead, they seem to be affected in a linear fashion (if that makes any sense). Do you know what the problem is?

Hi Patrick, great tutorial! Thanks for this. Unfortunately in the end it doesnt work for me...the surface from points doesnt generate a surface ...it says the Uvalue count is not valid for this amount of points . or if i move the slider (for the addition) to 7 the last box shows me that a point in the grid is null ..can you please try to help with this. thanks in advance!
