We are building a new house!

A lot of hard work, sweat, blood and tears have been shed to get our little family to this point and we are so excited to share this new milestone with you! Many of you have been following our journey since 2009! We have come a long way.

How exciting. It's going to be beautiful. It looks as if it's going to be comfortable, functional and practical. Your choice of design looks very nice. I just know you will all be very happy in this home and I just know you will make it cosy with all your beautiful cushions, curtains, quilts etc. Congratulations.

Love your new home. I have friends in NC that designed and built a home with the same materials over 10 years ago. They are in the mountains where it gets quite cold. I am told they love the energy efficiency of their home and it has held up very well. I think your layout will work out fine. Looking forward to seeing your decorating ideas.

I am so happy for you. I have been following for the last couple of years. I attend potlucks with my quilting groups and always have to bring my own plate and utensils. I would like it if you made a placemat that also carry’s your plate and utensil. Kind of a bag placemat.

So exciting to see your house coming together! I’m looking forward to seeing your minimalist decor. That appeals to me a lot and as I get older I’m clearing out much of the stuff I collected through the years. Just had my kitchen remodeled and finally have enough cabinets that my countertop is bare except for salt and pepper and a blown glass pear that I made at a local glass artisan studio this summer.

Please show everything you are comfortable posting. Questions: How are the walls attached to the cement floor? What is put on the inside of the walls so you can hang quilts, etc?
