Live from the 2019 Essentially Ellington High School Jazz Band Competition and Festival, it's Roosevelt High School from Seattle, WA playing Duke Ellington's "Solid Old Man."

The piano players hands are gigantic. Such long fingers and a great touch on the keys. Dang. But the thing that kept getting me to wonder is where the hell do you find a high school kid who plays great vibes. What a throwback.

I’m a retired high school band director. My jazz band very rarely got less than a I- at festivals. But I would hate to perform after these guys. They are on a completely different level.

the whole rythm section absolutely killed it during the entire show, also the bassist does not get enough props

Every solo was nuts but that pianist is really tying everything together. Wow!
