Seems like Indian Netflix is putting out stuff mainly targeting NRIs or the Western Audience. Even the background song is English. Why can't we have something real for once?

I can’t imagine the amount of plastic waste this kind of a wedding generates. It is disgusting and criminal!

Seema Aunty will be angry after seeing this as Netflix didn't invite her in these luxurious weddings 😅😆.

These rich people spend soo much money on just one wedding, the amount us middle class try to earn in 10 years or more.

The WHOLE POINT of this show is rich and beautiful Indian weddings. Why are many people even TRYING to relate and hating it then? Infact this show has done a good job of being inclusive!

Why are you showing the wrong interpretation of Kanyadan? Kanyadan is not about giving the bride to the groom or objectifying the bride as a thing for give and take. It does not symbolize patriarchy rather it supports the REAL feminism. Kanyadan = Kanya(Girl) + Adana(Receive, Reception, Welcome). People mistake it for Dana(Giving or Offering as an object) instead of Adana. In reality, it means the groom’s family is welcoming the bride as a member of their family. This custom was started to avoid purchasing of brides for money by some invaders/rulers. It was made part of the sacred marriage rituals to save the dignity and respect of girls without exchanging money during marriages. If someone doesn’t want to follow the custom, then it’s fine, it’s their wish. But don’t wrongly tarnish a positive tradition of our culture and give false interpretations✌️

Sometimes I feel Netflix creates these series just as content for Tanmay Bhat's reaction videos.
