Im. 60 years old and have seen the big gator gar population decimated with bow fishing, I grew fishing the Trinity river and have seen their numbers decline. The one thing about bow fishing there is no catch and release

Love bowfishing, but wish they protected the alligator gar. It's one of the few species that preys on the asian carp destroying our river systems.

Pretty neat, but I would rather see catch and release.

I would tell you good luck normally but if there is a carp problem I don't understand killing gar . It's sad to say but this is why the carp keep spreading and taking over. But the dnr there should do something its their job and area of expertise

Killing a fish that's over 100 years old?? That's B.S. to me!!
