Small suggestion, when you mention something like "Some of my favorite hip hop records forego choruses" You should edit in album covers or maybe a list in the corner of albums that represent that. It helps solidify your point better and it might turn people on to some good shit. Or even in that instance linking to your Experimental Hip Hop video would work.

Love how you usually focus on the more "obscure" and unnoticed albums you loved for your listening parties. Keep it up!

I have a bias with Aphex Twin. I absolutely love his work and Collapse is no exception.

Plot Twist: Robert Fripp takes this video down because you mention King Crimson

Man, I can't just praise Collapse EP enough it's a masterpiece I can't get over it. It's clear as crystal this will become one of the greatest from the greatest producer himself. Feels blessed, truly. I can't describe my feelings for my life but my word it's legendary. /fanboying over

The Gazelle Twin cover reminded me also of those Deutsche Grammophon classical albums. Great reviews as always Oliver.

Thoughts on Low's Double Negative?

Damn, Joba made that Brockhampton album for me but on that note, if you find him grating then it’s no surprise iridescence would leave a bad taste in your mouth.

What I can agree with you on is that suggestion regarding the band going off to create their own records: Kevin and Bearface’s path seem obvious, Dom would make a solid verse focussed hip hop album, Merlyn would work well with an eccentric style and Joba would benefit from a Lou The Human trajectory. Not sure what route Matt would go down considering I think he’s a fine singer and rapper.

For me, iridescence is BROCKHAMPTON's finest work to date. I view the odd song structures and weird production choices as an attempt on the band's part to get past their hip hop roots and create something much more holistic. This is much more of a front-to-back album than any of the SATURATION records were, and I think it's resulted in some of their most engaging material to date. I can understand where people are coming from with their response to this, but for me it ticks all the boxes. It's nearly my AOTY.

Collapse is my release of the year. His best work since drukqs.

Must check out the new Gazelle Twin. I love her.

You videos are great! Better than any other youtube channel or music review service.

I particularily love your guides! You should do Yo La Tango.

Loved iridescence. Gave me a similar feeling to Sister/Nation off of Saturation 3. Which is Brockhamptons best song in my opinion.

Yves Tumor and Gazelle Twin ones are AOTY material for sure. Goddamn masterpieces.

I would love for you to go over your vinyl (or other physical mediums of music) collection and then do vinyl updates like Fantano, Mike C-Town, and others. I'd love to see your collection, I feel like it would be really cool

I like that you gave your reasons for why you don't like Spiritualized in such a way that I can identify some of the reasons I like it. Mark of a great reviewer

Tbh iridescence feels like a fresh start. The dynamics of the group have been shifted with Ameer's departure and Joba honestly steals the show. I was kind of on the fence about him at first, but his verse in J'OUVERT won me over. Plus the album was made in just ten days and the group made the best they could, despite the messy rollouts, the delays and the inner conflicts. It's going to be interesting to see where they go with this trilogy and possibly the trilogy after that one given that their deal with RCA is for 6 albums
